ELEVATING, CELEBRATING & PRESERVING BLACK CINEMA
The Black Auteur Film Festival is a nonprofit organization dedicated to showcasing bold, original work by Black filmmakers from Texas.
What began as a grassroots festival centered on film has expanded into a year-round celebration of Black cinema through special screenings, live events, and collaborations that spotlight the richness and diversity of Black creatives.
On June 20, 2026, BAFF returns to AFS Cinema for its third annual festival, bringing together filmmakers and audiences for a day of screenings, special guests, and community.
